The Iraq national football team officially announced that they will take a FIFA-arranged charter flight tomorrow to Monterrey, Mexico, to prepare for the intercontinental playoff of the World Cup qualifiers.
The statement reads:
“Our national team will depart from Amman tomorrow on a charter flight to Monterrey, Mexico. The coaching staff is scheduled to arrive in Mexico on Monday morning, while players based in European clubs will gradually join the squad after completing their club commitments.
On Friday morning, player Rebin Sulaka arrived in Amman, Jordan, to join the national team. The squad will then travel to Monterrey, Mexico, to compete in the intercontinental playoff for the 2026 World Cup.
In addition, the coaching staff of the Iraq national team will arrive in Monterrey early the next morning. The remaining Europe-based players will join the team in Mexico within the next two days after finishing their respective club matches.”
